Our planet is a place of wonder and diversity, and full of different life forms. While all organisms live and perish, unnatural deaths can be fatal to biodiversity. That has been the case for a long time now. For many centuries, animals have fallen prey to the greed of men. Rampant hunting and poaching has made numerous species either extinct or endangered. Those endangered species need to be protected from further harm, to save their species from extinction. That is where wildlife preservation comes in.

Across the world today, we can see many examples of preservation being undertaken. Numerous independent bodies, NGOs and governmental agencies are taking steps to curb all forms of hunting and poaching. While these are positives, there needs to be more participation from the average person. Doc Antle and his famous organization, the Rare Species Fund, has made significant contributions to the world of animal preservation. Today, it is a leading body that proactively works for improving animal living conditions.
